After his sophomore season was cut short due to injury, junior infielder Daniel Bick of Georgia College has enjoyed a stellar 2013 and will look to add depth to the middle of the North Adams infield this summer.
With his Georgia College squad on the cusp of a berth in the Division II College World Series, Bick has turned it on as a junior, ranking third on the team with an impressive .362 average with 52 starts. The right-handed hitter has scored 71 runs and has tacked on 13 doubles, three homers and 41 RBI, slugging .465 on the year while boasting a .450 OBP, batting primarily from the No. 3 spot in the lineup. Bick also leads the team with 17 stolen bases in 21 attempts.
No stranger to summer baseball, Bick took his talents to the Great North last summer and batted .359 with 20 RBI for the Regina Red Sox of the Western Major Baseball League.
A four-year letterman at Chattahooche High School in Johns Creek, Ga., Bick is the son of Tim and Carol and chose Georgia College because it is a great school with a rich athletic history.
