Zach Larson joins the Diablos in 2012 after spending the beginning half of the season with the London Rippers of the Frontier League. The 6’4”, 225 lbs, catcher from San Diego, California began his career after signing as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago White Sox in 2008 with the Bristol Sox of the Appalachian League and split time that season with the Great Falls Voyagers of the Pioneer League. In 2009, Larson split time between the Voyagers and the A level Kannapolis Intimidators of the South Atlantic League before transitioning to independent baseball with the Lake County Fielders and St. Paul Saints in 2010. He spent 2011 with the Yuma Scorpions of the North American League before joining the Rippers and Diablos in 2012. In five seasons of professional baseball, Larson has a career stat line of .242/.318/.331 in 196 games with 68 runs scored and has collected 148 hits, including 22 doubles, one triple, ten home runs, and 60 RBIs. Larson has a career fielding percentage of .986 and has caught 23% of runners stealing.
