Sabol was a key addition for Traverse City down the stretch last season going 2-0 with a 0.71ERA allowing just one run in 12.2 innings over six appearances. He walked two and struck out eight. Making an immediate impact, Sabol earned the victory in just his second outing with Traverse City pitching 1.1 scoreless innings of relief in an 8-7 Beach Bums comeback victory at Evansville on August 9.

Sabol joined the Beach Bums following a two-year stint in the Tigers organization. The 36th round selection by Detroit in the 2011 draft, Sabol went 3-3 with a 3.43 ERA for the GCL Tigers that same season.

The 24-year old was drafted following a four-year career with Central Michigan University where he went 5-3 as a senior in 2011. Overall, Sabol recorded a 9-8 record and a 5.18 ERA in 52 games (23 starts) for the Chippewas. He notched four complete games with two shutouts over his career and walked just 39 batters in 173 innings, an average of 2.03 BB/9IP
