Luis Chirinos is a 6-2, 215 lbs. right handed pitcher from Maracay, Venezuela. Chirinos spent his first two and a half years (2007-09) as a professional with the Dominican Summer League (DSL) Marlins, in which he posted a combined 10-8 record with a 3.13 ERA in 43 games as a starting and relief pitcher. Chirinos finished the 2009 season with the Greensboro Grasshoppers of Greensboro, North Carolina in which he played one game, pitching three innings giving up no hits or runs.
