Justin Harper begins his first season in El Paso in 2012. The 6’4, 185 lbs, right hander from Prescott, Arizona played collegiately at Oklahoma City and Yavapai College (AZ) and was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 37th round of the 2007 draft, the New York Yankees in the 38th round of the 2008 draft, and the Houston Astros in the 17th round of the 2009 draft. Harper began his career in 2009 with the Low A Tri-City ValleyCats of the New York-Pennsylvania League and moved to the Greeneville Astros of the Appalachian League in 2010. He took a brief break from baseball before returning with the Diablos this season. In three seasons of professional baseball, Harper has compiled an 0-2 record with a 6.11 ERA in 19 games and 28.0 innings pitched.
