Wellington Dotel is a 6-1, 180 lbs outfielder from Eugene, Oregon. Dotel signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Seattle Mariners in 2006 and began his career with Rookie Level AZL Mariners of the Arizona League. In 2007, Dotel split time with the AZL Mariners, the High A High Desert Mavericks of the California League and the Low A Everett AquaSox of the Northwest League. Dotel remained with the AquaSox through 2008 and 2009 before moving to the A level Clinton LumberKings in 2009 and part of 2010 before he began his independent baseball career with the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the United League. In 2011, Dotel split time with the WhiteWings and the Edinburg Roadrunners of the North American League. In six seasons of professional baseball, Dotel has played in 389 games, scored 249 runs, and collected 412 hits including 78 doubles, 27 triples, 37 home runs, and 190 RBIs. His career stat line is .296/.349/.471 and he has a career fielding percentage of .963, being used predominately as an outfielder. Dotel is returning to the Diablos once again, previously with the team in 2012, Dotel played for the Olmecas de Tabasco in the Mexican League early in this 2013 season.
