Halloran was a sophomore at the University of Minnesota this year before entering his first season with the Honkers. The Eden Prairie, MN native played in 45 games for the Golden Gophers and recorded the fourth highest batting average on the team at .307. The sophomore cathcer was 3rd Team All Big-Ten in 2012.Halloran’s 2 long balls were tied for the team lead. As a senior at Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, MN, the 5’ 10" backstop was honored as an All- State, All-Area, and All-Conference selection.
