Won 21 games with the Houston Astros in 1999.

 The 36 year old pitched in the major leagues from 1994-2006 for the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Mets.  In his 14 year career, he was 89-102, with a 5.26 earned run average.   With the Houston Astros in 1999, he won a career high 21 games and pitched in the All –Star Game. As a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004, he pitched a five hit shutout in the National League Divisional Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. It was the Dodgers first post season win since 1988.
Jose Lima is known for his flamboyant pitching style and on-field antics, which has lead to the nickname ‘Lima Time’.
