Tim Johnson is a veteran Manager from Grand Forks, North Dakota.  Before an outstanding career as a Manager, Johnson enjoyed a seven year career in the MLB, playing alongside Hall of Famers Robin Yount and Hank Aaron with the Milwaukee Brewers from 1973 to 1978, than with the Toronto Blue Jays from 1978 to 1979, primarily as a shortstop and second baseman.  After retiring as a player, Johnson spent the next 20 years as a scout, coach, or minor league manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, and the Chicago Cubs. In 1998, Johnson was named the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays, where he lead the Blue Jays to a 88-74 record, which is Toronto’s best record since winning the World Series in 1993.  After his one year stint with the Toronto Blue Jays, Johnson has gone on to manage various minor league teams. Johnson made his home in 2003 with the Lincoln Saltddogs of Lincoln, Nebraska. In his six years with the Saltdogs Johnson posted a 314-252 record a manager, and in 2006 Johnson was awarded Manager of the year once again, as in previous years 1987 and 1988 with the pioneer league. After his six year stint in Lincoln Johnson has managed the Tucson Toros of Tucson, Arizona and the Lake County Fielders of Zion, Illinois. Johnson made his home last year with the El Paso Diablos where he led the Diablos to 41-34 record to finish the 2012 season, and was awarded Manager of the Year by the American Association. 2013 will be Johnson’s second year with the El Paso Diablos and will be his 46th year in baseball since being signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1967.
