Pittman returns to East Texas as the lone Florida native on the 2012 roster. Pittman played in 36 games for the Pump Jacks in 2011 ranking second on the team in hit by pitches with 7.
The Bradenton, Fla. native is coming off his third season as an outfielder for Florida Atlantic. A regular in the Owls lineup, Pittman had a career-high 33 hits for the season in 2012. As a sophomore, Pittman was one of five Florida Atlantic players to hit for the season cycle. His first two hits of his sophomore year were home runs. Pittman played for Bradenton River High School in his hometown where he earned All-State honors while hitting .321 with 32 runs scored.
