Landon Lucansky is the lone member of the 2012 CrackerJacks from the state of Kansas and one of two Missouri Tigers on the Will County roster along with fellow infielder Case Munson. A Leawood, Kan., native, Lucansky recently concluded his rookie season at Missouri.
In 2012, Lucansky made eight appearances and five starts for the Tigers. He picked up four hits, including one double and one triple, in 17 at bats and slugged 0.412. Lucansky also posted five RBIs, drew two walks, finished with a 0.350 on-base percentage and made 44 putouts in the field.
Lucansky attended Blue Valley High School and led his school to a Class 5A third-place finish in 2011. During his four-year tenure at Blue Valley, Lucansky helped his team to a 54-19 overall record, compiled a 0.420 career batting average, slugged four home runs and knocked in 65 runs. He was a Class 6A first team All-State selection at second base in 2010 and a first team All-Metro selection at second base the same year.
Lucansky was a four-year honor roll member at Blue Valley High School and was the recipient of the 2010-11 High School Sportsmanship Award. He is a Business Management major at Missouri and is the son of Michael and Shannon Lucansky.
