Joining his Texas A&M teammates in East Texas this summer will be left-handed pitcher Ty Schlottmann, who redshirted this past season.
Originally from Brenham, Texas, Schottmann lettered 3 years at Brenham High School, and had a terrific career there. He was named First Team All-State his senior year, posting an 11-2 record with a 2.26 ERA. The previous year, he went 9-2 with a 2.21 ERA and was named to the All-State Tournament Team. His sophomore year, he went 8-1 with a 2.46 ERA. In his career at BHS, he never struck out fewer than 84 batters in a season, and never averaged less than 1 strikeout per inning.
