Zach Luevanos is entering his first year with the MoonDogs after finishing up his junior year at Lamar University.  This catcher made 33 appearances and 19 starts for the cardinals.  His defensive ability was proven this last season with a .993 fielding percentage, 132 put outs, and 12 assists.  Prior to Lamar, Zach attended Seminole State College where he batted .370 with 5 homers, 20 doubles, and drove in 52 runs in 2011.  Luevanos is majoring in general studies.
