Stephen McGee arrives in Alexandria following his redshirt-sophomore season at powerhouse Florida State University. In high school, McGee was named to the All Conference Team three times and First Team All State as a senior. As a freshman in 2010, he went 4 for 12 at the plate, with all four hits being doubles. His 2011 season was cut short after only 10 games, due to a shoulder injury. This spring, McGee had started all 43 games for the top-ranked Seminoles. In those 43 games, he was hitting .254 with eight doubles and 22 RBI. McGee had drawn 42 walks in 126 at bats, good for a .470 on base percentage. He also had a .981 fielding percentage from the catcher position. Stephen’s major is Hospitality Management and he aspires to open his own restaurant in the future.
