Only a freshman and already boasting a full slate of accolades, Ben Moore comes to Alexandria from the University of Alabama. As a high school senior at Cullman High School, Moore set school records with his .506 batting average, 22 home runs, 27 doubles, 83 RBI, 86 hits, and 77 runs scored. He was the Alabama Class 5A Hitter of the Year, and made the 5A All-State First Team. He also received the Danny Ashley Award in 2011, given for strong character and determination to succeed. Moore ran for 2,036 yards as a senior running back for Cullman High School. Following his second week in an Alabama uniform, Moore was awarded SEC Freshman of the Week honors after hitting .571 with five RBI and six runs scored in a three game sweep of Arkansas Pine-Bluff. Through 45 games, Moore was hitting .352 with 10 doubles and 27 RBI while playing in every game.
