Treece, a right-handed reliever from Hot Springs, AR, was named the Frontier League Rookie of the Year in 2012.  The 6-3 200-pound 24-year-old went 2-1 with a team-best 1.21 ERA in 36 appearances (all relief).  Treece struck out 54 batters and walked only 16 in 51 and two thirds innings.  He finished second on the team in saves with four. 

 

“Zac was absolutely dominant last season out of our bullpen,” Warren commented.  “We knew every time we put him in the game, he was going to get the job done.  I’m excited to see what he does for an encore in 2013.”
