Chris Homer is in his second year with the Freedom as their Pitching Coach. From 2002-2003, he attended and played for Marist College and was drafted by the Detroit Tiger in the 24th round in 2003. From 2003-2007, he played for the Tigers Organization with their Rookie League affiliate Gulf Coast, Single-A affiliates Oneonta, West Michigan, and Lakeland, and their Double-A affiliate Erie SeaWolves. From 2008-2010, he played for independant teams, including Grand Prairie AirHogs, Winnipeg Goldeyes, and the Lake County Fielders. His best year as a professinal was in 2005 with Lakeland, when he posted a 7-4 record, 3.09 ERA, 29 SV, and 50 SO.
