Collin joins the Bluefish for his second season in the Atlantic League and seventh of professional baseball. The 27-year-old began the 2012 campaign with the Houston Astros before making his Atlantic League debut with the Bluefish. With Bridgeport, he played in 26 games, hitting .368 with 14-extra base hits and 22 RBI. Those numbers were good enough for the Atlanta Braves to purchase his contract at the end of May.
The Texas-native was originally drafted by the Houston Astros in the fifth round of the 2007 amateur draft and spent his entire career with the organization before coming to Bridgeport. His best season in the minors came in 2009 with Double-A Corpus Christi of the Texas League.
