Angel joins the Bluefish for his second season in the Atlantic League and eighth of professional baseball. Last year, the backstop made his Atlantic League debut with the Lancaster Barnstormers, appearing in 40 games and recording a .311 batting average.
Before joining the Barnstormers, the 25-year-old has spent the majority of his professional career as a member of the Detroit Tigers organization, reaching as high as the Triple-A level (Toledo) in 2010. He has appeared in 252 career minor league games and owns a .230 batting average with 28 extra-base hits, 72 RBI, and 70 runs scored.
