Matt is from Spotsylvania, VA and is a junior at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. In high school he was on a 16-and-under AAU baseball team, known as the Richmond Braves, where he won the WWBA National Championship.

The best field Matt has ever played on was a spring training field located in Sarasota, home to the defending World Series Champions St. Louis Cardinals.

His favorite television show growing up was Ed, Edd, and Eddy. He enjoys bass fishing and hunting and if he had $10,000,000 right now, he would take a year off from college and travel the U.S. to experience bass fishing in different parts of the country. His favorite MLB player is former Lowell Spinner Hanley Ramirez and his favorite song is On My Level by Wiz Khalifa.

Matt recalls his most embarrassing moments in the game are when he strikes out a batter and starts to run off the mound, only to find out that’s the second out!
