Silbar started his sophomore campaign right where he left off starting 38 of 41 games at shortstop. He was the cornerstone of the Columbia infield in first full year as a starter batting .286 in Ivy League play. He went 1-for-3 on opening day at The Citadel and singled and scored a run in opening game of the San Diego series. Silbar also hit safely in each game during the four-game set in San Diego with two RBI. One of Silbar’s most notable games was when he finished a home run shy of the cycle in game two at Penn, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI.
