Quintana played the first six of seven pro seasons in the Toronto Blue Jays system before joining the independent Chico Outlaws and Calgary Vipers in 2011. Last year, Quintana hit a combined .292 with five home runs and 53 RBI. He threw out 24 of 77 attempted base stealers. With the Blue Jays, Quintana spent the bulk of his time with the Class AA New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He also had three brief stints with Triple-A Las Vegas. Quintana is a career .258 hitter with 14 home runs and 143 RBI.  The Blue Jays selected him in the 40th round of the 2005 draft out of Cal State-Northridge, where he was a Big West Conference First Team selection.
