Michalec had a solid year for Baylor appearing in 4 games and posting a 3.00 era. He faced 11 batters holding them to only a .273 batting average and not allowing an extra base hit all year.
Pitched for head coach Jeremy York at Memorial High School. Michalec was a two-year letter winner and helped team to district championship and regional finals. Named honorable mention all-district as senior as well as lettered in basketball.
