After transferring to UTPA from junior college, Will Klausing became one of the top players for the Broncs during a season that saw him battle injuries but still post solid numbers.
Klausing finished the season batting a solid .309 over 30 games with 25 hits and 19 RBI. He scored 11 runs while registering an impressive .467 on-base percentage.
In 2011, Klausing hit .367 with 16 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 43 RBI and 29 runs scored for North Central Junior College. He even saw some action out of the bullpen last year.
Klausing earned three letters in baseball and three in basketball at Denton Ryan High School, winning the district championship in baseball all three years he played. He earned all-district honors while in school.
The son of Jim and Leslie, Will Klausing was born Jan. 31, 1991. He has one sister, Bonnie, and is pursuing a degree in special education.
