Cody Railsback is a Rockwell, Texas, native and begins his first season with the Diablos in 2012. The 6-4, 170 lbs right-hander attended McLennan Community College in Texas and was drafted by the New York Mets in the 20th round of the 2005 draft and ended up signing with the Atlanta Braves as a non-drafted free agent in 2007. He played Rookie Ball for the GCL Braves of the Gulf Coast League in 2007 before moving up the Class A Rome Braves of the South Atlantic League. In 2008 he played for the Rookie League Danville Braves of the Appalachian League and split time between Rome and Danville in 2009. After being released, he signed with the Shreveport-Bossier Captains in 2010 and split time in 2011 with the Captains, New Jersey Jackals of the Canadian-American Association and the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He compiled a 1-1 record with a 5.62 ERA in 25 games, including two starts, in 41.2 innings pitched in relief in 2011.
