David Fox finished up 2012 in the Disabled List but put together a solid campaign up until he got hurt. He smacked 11 doubles and drove in 44 runs while launching five home runs in 58 games. Fox’s first season of professional baseball in 2011 was a success as he hit .278 with seven home runs and 45 RBI. His arrival coincided with the Slammers getting red hot in the months of July and August. The former Metropolitan State College of Denver baseball player was named an American Baseball Coaches Association Division II third team All-America and honorable mention All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association in 2011. Fox batted .426 in 2011 with 20 doubles and eight home runs to go with 56 runs scored and 55 runs batted in.
