Veteran Kyle Maunus finished the 2012 season strong with four home runs over his final six games. He ended up leading the Slammers with 12 home runs on the season. His 45 RBI tied him with Erik Lis for first on the team. Maunus smacked 15 home runs while driving in 56 in 2011. His patience at the plate was remarkable as he drew 37 walks, good for second on the team. Maunus has affiliated ball experience and five years under his belt in the Frontier League. The Western Michigan product can play first or third base. Maunus signed with the Reds as an undrafted free agent after his junior year at WMU. The Slammers acquired him in 2011 in the dispersal draft for the Oakland County Cruisers.
