Kyle Gunderson, a 26-year-old right-hander from Lakeway, Texas, signed with the Jackals on August 17.
Gunderson began the season with the Grand Prairie AirHogs of the American Association where he appeared in seven games and posted a 7.71 ERA in 9 1/3 innings pitched.
The reliever was originally drafted by the Washington Nationals back in 2007. Throughout his career, Gunderson has spent two separate stints at Triple-A New Orleans in the Florida Marlins system. Entering 2011, he had posted a career record of 11-9 with a 2.53 ERA in four seasons.
