Miller is playing in his first season with the Honkers after a solid freshman year at Vanderbilt University where the lefty made 20 appearances and finished with a 3.70 ERA, mostly out of the Commodores bullpen. As a senior at Avon High School in 2011, the tall 6’6" lefty was a First Team All-State selection and an Indiana Mr. Baseball candidate after hitting .465 with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs and finishing 5-1 on the mound with a 1.06 ERA. Miller holds Avon High School career records in home runs (20), RBIs (83), innings pitched (142.2), and strikeouts (204).
