Frierson comes from the Atlanta Braves organization, where he was drafted in the 36th round in 2010. 

2011: Rome Braves, South Atlantic League. In two games, Frierson was hitless in eight at-bats.

2010: Danville Braves, Appalachian League. Hit .291 in 33 games, one home run and three RBI's.

College: Attended UNLV, where in 2010 he hit .359, good for third-best on the team. Had six home runs, 53 RBI's, and at team-high six triples. Frierson made the move to the outfield his senior season after spending the first three years of his career in the infield.
