Last season Miller went 6-4 with 12 saves while compiling a 2.25 ERA in a team-high tying 41 games in relief. A control specialist, the lanky right-hander walked just six batters in 64.0 innings last season, an average of 0.84 BB/9IP. Furthermore, he did not issue a free pass from June 27 through August 16, spanning 21 games and 36.2 innings.

Miller joined the Beach Bums just before the All-Star break last season and was a key component to the Beach Bums success in the second half of the year. The right-hander out of Eastern Illinois University went 1-0 in 13 games with a save and a 3.08 ERA. His best outing of the season came on July 19 when Miller tossed four shutout innings against Washington, allowing just two hits, walking none and striking out five. Overall in his career with Traverse City, Miller is 7-4 with a 2.49 ERA in 54 appearances. In 90.1 innings he has walked just 14 batters while striking out 54.

Miller signed with Traverse City following his senior season with the Panthers. Serving as Eastern Illinois’ closer, Miller notched seven saves in 28 appearances. He struck out 35 batters in 38 innings and held opponents to a .241 average against.
