2011: Gary SouthShore RailCats, American Association. 1-2, 7.50 ERA in 16 games, 18 innings. Allowed 26 hits and struck out 16.

2010: Gary SouthShore RailCats. His first year pitching professionaly, Engle went 5-2 with a 3.72 ERA in 32 games, 3 starts. In 55.2 innings, he allowed 56 hits, 23 earned runs and struck out 46.

College: Division III Ursinus (Pa.) College. Set the school and Centennial Conference record for career strikeouts with 302 and was the 2009 Centennial Pitcher of the Year. In 13 games, 9 starts, he went 9-0 with a 1.87 ERA, allowing just 72 hits in 81.2 innings and striking out 91 hitters. Earned 2nd Team All-America honors from D3Baseball.com and the Mid-Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year award from the American Baseball Coaches Association.
