Gusrang had a breakout year in 2012 hitting .266 with 15 homers while driving in 50. The homer total was tied for 10th in the Frontier League. Additionally, he was hit by 18 pitches, tying him for second in the circuit and he walked 53 times, resulting in a .406 on-base percentage that was tenth in the FL.

The Burlington City, NJ native signed with the Beach Bums on June 29, 2011, but played sparingly that season going 1-for-6 in five games.

Gusrang joined Traverse City after a four-year career at Seton Hall University (BIG EAST - NCAA D-I) where he hit .260 with eight homeruns and 90 RBI in 168 games. As a senior in 2011, Gusrang led the Pirates with a .295 average and 34 RBI, helping SHU to a BIG EAST tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament.
