The Des Moines native served this past collegiate season as Pitching Coach for Iowa Wesleyan College after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant for his alma mater Grand View University.

Quijano signed with the Saints this past offseason and made four starts in 2011 before being released almost two weeks ago. In four starts with the Minnesota franchise this year, Quijano surrendered 37 hits in 19.2 innings while striking out 12 and walking 14.

Now in his sixth professional season, all in the independent ranks, Quijano boasted a 4.72 career ERA entering the 2011 season with a 16-24 record in 377.1 innings.
