Reid teamed up with Beach Bums relievers Scott Dunn and Scott Mueller to form an impressive trio to anchor the Beach Bums bullpen in 2011. Reid has been impressive in his time with Traverse City. At one point, Reid had a consecutive scoreless innings streak that had spanned 21 innings. Reid was signed by the Beach Bums on 6/11.
Reid opened the season with the Rockford RiverHawks, going 1-0 with a 7.56 ERA in seven games and was released on 6/9. In 2010, Reid spent the last two seasons with the Kalamazoo Kings. While there, Reid went 4-0 with a 3.12 ERA on the mound in a team-high 44 games and 49 innings in relief. Reid only walked nine batters in those 49 innings in 2010, the lowest on his team for relief pitchers. He also spent 2009 with Kalamazoo, going 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 45 innings.
