Rollins, another of the Bears' New Jersey connection, was signed June 9, 2011. He was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs out of Washington Township High School in the 41st round of the 2005 draft. He then went to Gloucester County College and began his professional career in 2009 with a brief stint with Midwest of the Frontier League. He pitched for Evansville of the Frontier League for 24 games in 2010, posting a 4.18 ERA, then pitched 12 games for Pittsfield in the Can-Am League, posting a 1-1 record with a 5.54 ERA. Rollins was signed by the San Diego Padres last fall, but released in spring training. He will be used both as a starter and reliever with the Bears.
