The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its NCAA Division II All Central Region baseball team Saturday afternoon and Wayne State's Mike Bisenius was a First Team selection as an outfielder. It's the third All Region honor for Bisenius this post season after having already been named to the Rawlings/ABCA and Daktronics (SID's) All Central Region teams.
Bisenius, a 6-3, 200 pound junior outfielder from Sioux City, Iowa (Heelan HS), led Wayne State in hitting this season posting a .401 average with eight homers and 48 RBI's to earn First Team All-Northern Sun Conference honors. He ranked in the top 10 in nine different categories in the Northern Sun Conference this season, leading the league in on-base percentage (.483) while ranking third in average, slugging percentage (.704), doubles (18) and tied for third in home runs with eight. Bisenius also ranked fifth in total bases (107) and tied for fifth in run scored (47) while ranking sixth in RBI's (48) and ninth in hits with 61. He finished the season with 20 multi-hit games and had a .450 average (27 for 60) with runners in scoring position.
