A 19th round choice by the Philadelphia Phillies out of Greer High School in South Carolina, Palka took on the challenge of the ACC this spring and has already been a tremendous contributor for Georgia Tech.
In his opening 41 games for the Yellow Jackets, Palka batted .301 with a team-best seven homers. He also had 13 doubles and two triples.
At Greer High in South Carolina, Palka left the state ranked the No. 2 prospect in it. As a senior, he was named to both the Rawlings and Under Armour All-America teams following graduation, having thrown two no-hitters during his career and posting a 1.80 ERA his final year. He also batted .470 as a senior with 14 homers and 32 RBI.
His grandfather, Eugene Palka, played two seasons in the Baltimore Orioles organization.
Palka intends to major in Business Management at Georgia Tech.
