Added to the Gatemen playoff roster at the end of last summer, Feehan will get his first in-game action in the Cape Cod Baseball League this year.
After impressing the New England Collegiate Baseball League throughout last summer as a member of the Lowell All-Americans, posting a 3-3 record and 3.05 ERA in 38.1 innings, Feehan was added as insurance in Wareham for their playoff run but did not get the call to the bullpen before the Gatemen were knocked out in the West Division Championship Series by eventual Cape League champion Cotuit.
This past spring at UConn, Feehan was very impressive as a sophomore middle reliever, starting out the season with a 1.64 ERA in 17 appearances and 22 innings of work. He struck out 14, walked nine, and allowed 18 hits over the opening stretch, posting a 0-1 record.
As a freshman last year, Feehan made 24 appearances and threw 43.2 innings for the Huskies, recording a 2-0 record and three saves. He struck out 32 against 13 walks and 40 hits.
An exploratory major at UConn, Feehan’s brother Matt currently plays basketball at Plymouth State University.
