Hambright is returning for his third consecutive season with the Honkers. This school year for the Oregon Ducks, the junior utility player hit .254 with 1 dinger and 9 RBIs and compiled an impressive 1.000 fielding percentage. In 2011 with the Honkers, Hambright hit .266 with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs while playing most of the season with an arm injury before having surgery at the end of the summer. Two summers ago, Hambright led the Honkers with a .364 batting average, while smacking 4 homers and driving in 28 runs in just 32 total games. Hambright is the younger brother of former Honker catcher Brett Hambright.
