Freshman: In his first season as a catcher for NM State, Fisher played in 38 games and started in 28. Finishing with a .350 batting average, Fisher was named a third-team freshman All-American by Ping!Baseball News (now known as CollegeBaseballLineup.com). He did even better in league play hitting .417 (20-of-48) against Western Athletic Conference foes. Fisher tied for the most home runs on the team in conference play with six. Senior Chris Auten also had six homers against WAC opponents. On the year, Fisher finished with eight bombs. In his first season with the Aggies, Fisher started 28 games behind the plate and came up with 11 doubles and 33 RBI. He posted a .634 slugging percentage and a .423 on-base percentage. When Fresno State (5/8) took on the Aggies, Fisher hit his fifth homer of the season in the fifth inning as he finished the day 2-of-3 with three RBI, although the Aggies lost ending a 10-game winning streak. He blasted his eighth homer in a disappointing 11-10 loss to Hawaii 5/13) in Honolulu. On a day when three freshmen stepped up their play to defeat Sacramento State (4/24) 9-3, Fisher earned two hits including a double and a run scored. Fisher also had a good day against Louisiana Tech (5/2), going 4-of-5 at the dish with three RBI and four runs scored as the won 22-8.

Personal: Fisher was born in Fontana, Calif. Fisher is the son of Donald and Charmie Fisher. He is majoring in mathematics.
