De Varona joins the Express for his first season in 2011. He comes to the Express from DMACC where he put up big power numbers this spring. In 58 games, De Verona led the team in home runs with 16 and RBIs with 52. He hit .317 in those games and had a .628 slugging percentage. He is a first basemen that will provide plenty of power to the Express this season.
