Freshman: Hipp played in 51 for the Aggies in 2010, starting in 42 games. He had 58 hits with 37 RBI and tallied 10 doubles, one triple and one home run on the year. He finished the season with a .349 batting average. Hipp was second on the team in stolen bases with five and third in the team in stolen base percentage with .833. During a win at Houston Baptist (4/3) Hipp stole two bases. Two stand out games in the hitting column for Hipp were the win at UC Santa Barbara (3/21) and a tie game against Nevada (4/11). In final game of the series against UC-Santa Barbara (3/21) he hit 4-for-5 with one RBI. In a 10-10 tie against Nevada (4/11) Hipp went 4-for-4 at the plate including a double and a triple, while he crossed the plate three times and posted two RBI.
High School: Hipp went to Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, Calif. In his senior year, Hipp had 38 runs, 40 hits, 32 RBI and a batting average of .388. Hipp was named San Diego All-CIF (second team), all-Western League, Cathedral Defensive Play of the Year and had a 43-game streak over a two-year period without an error at second base. In his junior year, Hipp had 24 runs, 42 hits, 28 RBI and a batting average of .457. In his last two years in high school, Hipp helped the team finish San Diego CIF Division III Champions. As a sophomore, Hipp and his team made the San Diego CIF Division III semifinals.
Personal: Hipp is the son of Michael Hipp and Ginger Phillips-Hipp. He was born in San Diego, Calif. He is undecided on a major.
