Toth is another of the Bears’ Jersey connection, having played his high school baseball at Sayreville High School and college baseball at The College of New Jersey, where he finished his career as an American Baseball Coaches Association-Rawlings NCAA Division III All-America First Team honoree in 2009. Toth earned Third Team All-America honors in 2007 at TCNJ. He was also the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2009, batting .483 with eight homers and 49 RBI, leading the Lions in every offensive category. He also ranked among the national leaders in most offensive statistics as well that season. Toth played briefly last season with Rio Grande Valley in the United League, where he was a teammate of Bears’ first baseman Brian Nichols.
