Daryl Jones began his pro career at the age of just 17 years old after being selected by the San Diego Padres in the 4th Round of the 2004 Draft. He will already be entering his 8th season of professional baseball in 2011. After spending the first 4 years of his career in the Padres’ organization, Daryl spent 2008 in the United League with Colts rival Edinburg where he hit .288, 11 homeruns, 53 RBIs and 32 stolen bases. The native Californian joined the Golden League the following season and played for Long Beach in 2009. Last season, after starting the year in the Frontier League playing for Florence, he went back to Edinburg and was traded at the deadline to Amarillo hitting a combined .303 with 14 homeruns and 59 RBIs for the season. For his career, Daryl has 508 hits, 50 homeruns, 265 RBIs and 58 stolen bases.
