The California native will make the eight hour trek up I-5 from his hometown of Downey, CA to join the Outlaws this season. Hale, a former Outlaw in 2009, played for the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association last year on his way to a .274 batting average. Hale, an excellent defensive shortstop, will combine with Bobby Hill and Al Quintana to form one of the league’s best defensive middle infields.
