2011

Acquired by Miners through trade with Joliet on 5/17/11

2010

After six games with the Rays rookie team, he was called up to single-A Charlotte. Six games later he was promoted again, being called up to double-A Montgomery where he blasted 12 home runs, drove in 50 runs and boasted a .673 OPS in 87 games played.

2009 

Between single-A and double-A, Fields batted .252 with 16 total home runs, 77 RBIs and 62 runs scored, to go along with his impressive .708 OPS and 197 total bases.

2008

For high-A Vero Beach, he belted 18 home runs, 57 RBIs, 110 hits and 62 runs scored. Alongside his .698 OPS mark, he also stole nine bases.

2007

In his stint with single-A Columbus, Fields blasted 19 home runs with 71 RBIs, 23 doubles, 89 hits, 44 runs scored and a career-high .758 OPS in 100 games played.

2006 

Played with Hudson Valley of the New York Penn League where he batted .241, with 7 homers, 17 doubles and 29 RBIs. He stole four bases and had 64 hits and 28 runs scored in 69 total games played. 

2005

Batted .254 in his first year of professional baseball with Princeton of the Appalachian League. Fields knocked 8 home runs, 35 RBIs, 10 doubles, 45 hits and 29 runs scored, alongside his .750 OPS in 45 games. 

Amateur/Personal

The towering 6-foot 5-inch, 250 pounder, was a 44th round draft pick for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2004 out of Green River Community College. He spent six seasons within the Rays farm system racking up 83 career home runs. Most recently, he spent the better part of 2010 with the Rays double-A affiliate, Montgomery, AL, where he led the team in homers.
