Brad Gschwind - Miami University


Gschwind was a four-year letterman at Miami University.  As a senior, he helped led the Redhawks to the MAC tournament championsip game. He received the Miami Gold Glove Award in his sophomore and junior seasons at shortstop. In 2009, Gschwind ended the season with a team high 19-game hitting streak. In 2010, he committed just four errors in 195 chances.  



During his summers, Gschwind played three seasons with the Steam and helped lead the team to the 2008 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League regular season title and back-to-back GLSCL tournament championships in 2008 and 2009. Gschwind was named to the All Star team in 2008 & 2009 and nominated for Player of the Week in 2008. 



Gschwind, a 2007 graduate of Lakota West High School, played four years of varsity baseball for the Firebirds under Coach Bill Dreisbach.  At West, Gschwind was a part of two Greater Miami Conference championships and the 2007 OHSAA State Championship. At the end of his senior year, Gschwind was named GMC Player of the Year and was also named to the Ohio All State First Team.  He was also a member of the Midland Redskins team that won the 2007 Connie Mack World Series.
