Tied for sixth in school history in total appearances (24, 2011) in the single season record book for the Rockets. In summer play, 2010, made a 2-3 mark with a team-best 2.54 ERA for the Monarchs. In 2009 he played in the Tri-State League and worked a total of four games for the Ohio Monarchs, tallying a 1-0 ledger with 10 strikeouts and a had an explosive 0.00 ERA in 7.0 innings.
As a Junior (2011) for the Toledo Rockets, appeared in 24 games in relief. Radon carried a 5-3 record with 2.38 ERA and captured one save. In Mid-American Conference play, posted a 2-1 record with a 1.47 ERA and grabbing one save. Ranked and tied for seventh in MAC in total appearances. Radon was second on team in wins, tied for second in total appearances and third in ERA.
As a sophomore appeared in seven games, making two starts. He finished with a 1-0 record with 3.52 ERA in 15.1 innings of work. In 2009 for the Rockets had a career-best 6.0 shutout innings vs. Kent State in MAC Tournament Finals (May 23).
Radon prepped at St. Francis de Sales High School where he was a three-year letterwinner in baseball. He earned a 4-4 record with 52 strikeouts in 53.2 innings of work and 1.96 ERA as a senior. He earned first-team all-city honors and started 10 contests. Radon is accredited with a recorded six complete games, leading St. Francis to Toledo City League Finals. He also batted .393 with 22 runs scored, four doubles, three home runs and team-best 28 RBI. Senior year finished with .639 slugging percentage and .519 on-base percentage. Radon won the “Joe Skinner Teammate Award,” earned second-team all-city, and all-district recognition as a junior.
Parents are Paul and Amy Radon. His brother Joe is a former manager on the UT baseball team. Majoring in exercise science with concentration in pre-physical therapy.
