Cruz, 27, has appeared in seven games with Lancaster over the last two seasons, while spending the majority of those campaigns in the United League and Can-Am League. The Dominican righty opened some eyes late in 2009 when he came to Sovereign Bank Stadium as a Barnstormer, and fired a seven inning four-hitter at the expense of the Revs. His first three seasons were spent in the Philadelphia Phillies farm system combining for a 3.55 ERA. His best season came in 2006 when he saved six games and worked a 1.25 ERA for Batavia of the New York-Penn League.
